Force gauge, dynamometer and load cell calibration services are performed using equipment with tension and compression capacities to over 200 kN. Force calibration is performed to ASTM E4 and ISO 376, IS 4169-2014 and other requested standards. The services are NABL accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 and provide NPL–India traceable results.
Calibration of a universal testing machine entails verification of the accuracy of the system’s instruments responsible for obtaining force and displacement measurements. Calibration certifies Machines accuracy and repeatability. Internationally recognized standards have been developed for calibration of crosshead speed and displacement (ASTM E2658 and E2309), strain and load rate (ASTM E2309), and measurement of tension, compression (ASTM E4 & ISO 7500, IS 1828:2022). If the instrument being calibrated is not within a specified tolerance, it is adjusted to be within bounds of the specification if possible. Otherwise, further investigation may be required to determine the cause. DRS offers a variety of calibration and maintenance services for both DRS systems and those made by other manufacturers including MTS, Shimadzu, Tinius Olsen, retrofitted Instron®, and SATEC®. Universal Testing Machine . Tensile Testing Machine . Compression testing Machine . Spring Testing Machine . Load Testing Machine. Fatigue Testing machine . Fluxural Testing Machine . Why should I calibrate my system? The goal of calibration of universal testing machine is to minimize uncertainties in test results by ensuring the accuracy of measurement devices. Universal testing machines are used to validate their product’s material properties during their quality control before distribution. Performing these validation tests with a system whose calibration certifications have expired may yield inaccurate test results, and may lead to non-conforming products. In order to reduce the potential of manufacturing errors within a company, maintaining an up-to-date calibration schedule is vital. In research and development laboratories, inaccurate test results may lead a user to inaccurate conclusions. Testing laboratories must maintain calibration to ensure validity of results.
Pressure Calibration compares the output of a device used to measure and display pressure with that of a pressure measurement standard. Routine pressure calibration services will help ensure the accuracy and precision of pressure measuring instruments. Hydraulic Medium Analog Pressure Gauge. Digital Pressure Gauge. Pressure Transmitter with Indicator / without indicator. Pressure Recorder. Pressure Switch. Pneumatic Medium Analog Vacuume Gauge. Digital Vacuum Gauge. Vacuum Transmitter/ Transducer . Vacuum switch. Pressure Gauge Calibration Process Calibration can be performed on a variety of different types of pressure gauges, including analog and digital gauges following national/ International standard. This is done by comparing the output of the gauge to a reference gauge or by applying a known pressure with pressure calibration equipment like a deadweight tester, standard pneumatic calibrator, or comparator and pressure gauge calibrator with an accurate reading.
The Electro Technical Calibration standards held by the DRS Engineering and calibration services are traceable to the national standards through the high Precision Calibration Equipments. The laboratories also cater to the mobile/on-site calibration requirement of customers. The turn around time for calibration of instruments is minimum and the calibration charges are competetive. The calibration services provided covers almost all general purpose electrical, electronic Test Measuring Instruments, Laboratory standards and Industrial instruments. 1 Phase and 3 Phase Energy Meter. Power Factor Meter. Oscilloscope, MultiMeter. Ampere meter. Electronic Load. Earth Tester. Timer/ Stop watch. Frequency Meter. Volt meter. AC/DC Power Supply. Clam Meter. High Voltage The Electrical Calibration Process LTI Metrology has individual documented procedures that are followed for each make and model of devices receiving electrical calibration services to insure standardized testing. Equipment manufacturer “accuracies”, generally stated as a percentage of the measured value, have been written into each procedure.
Routine Torque Calibration ensures repeatable accuracy from instruments used to apply torque during production processes. The test equipment used to perform torque calibration compares the amount of torque produced by the instrument to the allowable tolerance to determine if any adjustments are needed. Torque Meter Torque Transducer/Calibrators with/without indicators (Class 0.5 & Coarser). Torque Wrenches / Screw Drivers,. Torque Multipliers. Pneumatic / Electrical Screw Drivers/ Torque Gauges (Type I & Type II). The Torque Calibration Process Torque sensor, preset screwdriver and torque wrench calibration make use of a torque system with the option to select the appropriate transducer for the range of the instrument from among multiple choices. Torque multipliers are also calibrated with transducers, but require the use of two. One transducer measures the generated torque input while the other measures the torque output..
Mass Calibration with higher class weights, DRS have E1 class weights and required balances for comparision as specified in national/International standard. The process will determine the accuracy of measurements is being maintained. Adjustments can be made to instruments to bring measurements within tolerances. Weighing balances are catagerised based on thier minimum readability. Weight Calibration 1 mg to 20 kg Classes: F1 class and coarser Weighing balance/ Scale Calibration upto 300 kg Micropipette calibration 10 μl to 100 μl. Beaker/ flask calibration 10 ml to 20 ltrs. Newtonian weights Calibration of Laboratory balances The mass Calibration Process Mass Calibration- the weights are calibrated according to OIMLR111-1 using ABBA method. The process determines the accuracy class of weights. Process needs proper thermal stabilization. Weights are calibrated with upper accuracy class weights and balance having 1/3 uncertainty of permissible error of weights.
DRS have best accuracy master equipments for calibration of dimensional metrology like Profile Projector, Tape and scale calibrator, Slip gauge, caliper checker etc. Dimensional metrological calibration is done according to national/ International standard. All master equipments are traceable to NPL. DRS have facility to calibrate :- Vernier Caliper upto 1000 mm/li> Plunger / Lever dial gauge Scale, tape/ Pie Tape Calibration Test Sieve, Elongation Gauge, Cube mould Dial Gauge Calibrator Height Gauge Calibration The mass Calibration Process Dimensional calibration is performed by comparing the performance output of a hand tool, gage or another measuring instrument with a measurement standard to confirm that the item produces results which meet or exceed that standard’s criteria. Dimensional metrology calibration is done by comparision method according to national or International Standard. DRS maintains required environmental conditions (temp. 20±1°) for calibration.
